Chef Jet Tila

The news that Chef Jet Tila’s efforts at Food Network are expanding from his work on Cutthroat Kitchen, to doing play-by-play on Iron Chef (where he once dueled Morimoto) is cause for revisiting an older content piece created while spending a few action-packed days with Chef during Bon Appetit’s Vegas Uncork’d. Jessica’s Story

This video was created for the Coaches vs. Cancer basketball tournament in Las Vegas. The subject, Jessica, is an courageous cancer survivor. As if that weren’t enough, she’s an inspirational high school creative arts teacher, innovative philanthropist and probably most important of all to her – a great mom. See her story.

Good 2 Go

While working at Three Square Food Bank, collaboration with an agency led to the creation of a brand identity for Good 2 Go, part of the organization’s mission to provide wholesome food to hungry people through meals at charter schools. Good 2 Go, uses the food banks’ world-class kitchen to create the meals, with all proceeds generated going directly back into community-based programs and partnerships that help food-insecure Southern Nevadans. The project demonstrates the possibility of non-profits creating programs that put them on paths to self-sustainability.

This installment of Words looks at All the Stars by Kendrick Lamar and Sza. The chorus repeats a belief, with a qualifier, about tonight’s dreams presenting a clear path that’s been reluctant to reveal itself. A simple moon icon represents the essence of night, and a telltale of the arrival of a dream. A star would have been too on the nose, right?

Everyone is made up of parts. Some of the parts are with you all that time, and others are somewhere else. Some that are elsewhere can be easily found, while some others may never be found. The search keeps us all going and identifying the parts in their simplest forms helps us find them – or at least know where to focus the search.

Capital Cities removes any doubt about their love of music by letting us know that they’d rather lose access to sleep than access to their sounds. While music is accessible through many channels and devices, no audio player makes everyone around you more aware of your favorite music, with more impact, than a stereo boombox.
